15 September 2024: Punan Stories of Their History by Calvin Jemarang

Mr Calvin Jemarang, in his talk “Punan Stories of Their History” will share his insights and unveil the rich heritage of the Punan people. The Punan people are often mentioned in passing, but few truly understand their complex history and vibrant traditions. This is an opportunity to hear directly from a member of the Punan community and gain a fresh perspective on their heritage.

Calvin Jemarang is a Punan, born in Belaga and raised in the Kakus Tatau District. He is one of the 12 co-founders of the Punan National Association, and is passionate about documenting and preserving Punan history. His book, “Punan Myths and Legends,” has sparked public interest and debate about the true identity and history of the Punan.
