Friends of Sarawak Museum (FoSM) is a membership-based NGO. We, as members, work together to organise and to participate in activities. The activities are driven by our personal interests (things we want to learn more about) and those of our co-members.
Talks both for the public and as member-only activities have always featured in our activities. So members have arranged for speakers or shared their expertise on a range of topics. The diversity of the talk topics and the expertise of the speakers means that we also extend our knowledge of Sarawak.
Ann: Helping to organise the talks is amazing. The actual task of putting together has particular steps. The exciting and motivating part is the broadening of my knowledge and meeting other like-minded people.
